Chambui Dotharl

Chambui was a shaman from the Azim Steppe, of the Dotharl tribe. She practiced occult magics for them, specializing in identifying aether signatures on new births within the tribe, to identify old warriors. As she nears her fiftieth summer, however, Chambui has begun to stare her own mortality in the face - and she is annoyed.

Chambui is cold and calculated. She is analytical to a fault and very rarely falls back on what she considers the softer emotions - those such as sadness, joy, or love. Collecting samples and specimens is her favorite downtime activity.

Chambui works as a freelance cursebreaker. Her extensive knowledge of occult magic and magickal tinctures affords her a rather uncanny ability to identify and reverse engineer curses of most varieties, cleansing almost all kinds, given time.

Test subjects and specimens for her various experiments that she does in her spare time. She is not evil, she simply is working toward a specific goal, and having samples from various different people aids her toward that end.

Hooks!

  • Void Magic - Chambui is a student of the Thirteenth and the occult magic that goes along with it. She stops far short of summoning voidsent, but she is always willing to discuss the Void and its denizens.

  • Alchemy - talk her horn off about special potions and tinctures you have made or imbibed. Offer to try one of hers and report findings on its success!

  • Dotharl - As a dotharl, she is often interested in discussing dotharli traditions with others of her ilk, and feels most comfortable when in company of fellow Xaela. Of note, she is in exile from the Dotharl, due to the specific nature of her research.

  • Magical Items - She is utterly fascinated by items of a magical nature, especially those that grant magical abilities to their wielders, such as job stones. She is always on the hunt for more such things to study in order to further her own goals.
